Ireland's 8th Annual Fairtrade Towns and Supporters Conference
Fairtrade Mark Ireland hosted the 8th Annual Fairtrade Towns and Supporters Conference in Croke Park Conference Centre on the 19th and 20th of November. All of the 80 voluntary groups from around the country were invited to attend this 2 day conference.
Sales for FAIRTRADE Mark products in Ireland grew by 27% in 2009 and continue to grow in 2010 notwithstanding the recession. Much of this growth in sales can be attributed to the dedicated work of all the hundreds of volunteers involved in promoting Fairtrade through the Fairtrade Towns initiative.
